The award encourages entrepreneurial activity and recognises the contribution of people who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement. The AIM WA WestBusiness Pinnacle Award for Innovation Excellence provides recognition for an organisation that has achieved outstanding results through key initiatives that demonstrate leadership and commitment to excellence in innovation. These Awards promote and acknowledge the achievements of the State’s business community across sectors that include agriculture, manufacturing, medical research, information technology, education and creative industries. The Awards recognise the significant contribution individual businesses, both large and small, make to the State. Now in its fifteenth year, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is a program that recognises and profiles Australian technology companies, public or private, that have achieved the fastest rates of annual revenue growth (based on percentage revenue growth over the last three years). Coordinated by the Department of Commerce, the awards recognise and honour the “best of the best” in Western Australia. The Rising Stars Awards recognises and celebrates WA-based companies that are growing – private and public, old and new, large and small. The Awards identify the most innovative software in Australia and New Zealand. Springboard Australia 2014 is a community-driven accelerator program for high-growth companies led by women in the areas of technology and life sciences. The Australian Business Award for Software Innovation recognises leading software products and services that provide innovative solutions for new and existing market needs. The Innovator of the Year Program has showcased innovative and entrepreneurial individuals, businesses and creative minds since 2006. The program has benefitted many of those who have participated, as well as the broader community of Western Australia. The iAwards honour organisations and students at the cutting edge of technology innovation and recognise the achievements of home-grown Australian innovators. The key goal of the iAwards is to discover, recognise and reward the ICT innovations that have the potential to, or are already having a positive impact on the community – at home, in the office and on a global scale.
